RELEASE DAY!

It's the official release date for Forgotten Melodies! You can find all the links you'll need to get yourself a copy in the post below this one.
Writing the characters from the Phantom of the Opera was a lot like having a long chat with an old friend. I already miss them, and I can't wait to get to work on the sequel (out June 19, 2016). I'm eager to see what reviews it gains now that it's up for sale.
However it's already got a couple reviews from its time on fanfiction.net (link to fanfiction.net posting at the very bottom of this post if you'd rather read Forgotten Melodies for free!) which I will share now:

Early Release and Sequel News!

Forgotten Melodies came out juuust a tiny bit early, officially becoming available for purchase about an hour ago in the kindle store. I've gone ahead and put it up on smashwords as well, so you can sample or purchase Forgotten Melodies on the e-reader you prefer. I'm a kindle chick myself.

Forgotten Melodies!
Hello, hello dear readers! I've been MIA for a couple months, but that's because I've been incredibly busy with both my writing and a LOT of traveling. I will try to update soon about my traveling, but for today I want to talk to you about Forgotten Melodies.
Forgotten Melodies is my first full-length novel release and it will be available on June 19-20 (depending entirely on how long the publishing process takes with amazon kindle). It is a reimagining of Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera, and it is the first book I am also putting up for people to read for FREE.

New York, New York!
I'm going to New York City in April! I've mentioned it on just about all other social media, but might as well announce it! I'm hoping to finish up my first release of the year on the train ride there and back. It's called Forgotten Melodies, and it's a retelling of The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux.
At first, I was planning to release it in June, however that's had to change due to the fact that I will likely be traveling at that time as well and I have no idea how good of internet I will have access to at that point. Currently I'm shooting for sometime in late May.
Forgotten Melodies will be my first full length novel release.

Blog Change News!
Don’t worry, I’m not abandoning this blog. I’m gonna keep this blog as official book news, but I’m going to be switching most “personal” updates to another blog that more closely follows my “brand” (which is a term I hate using. I’m a person, not a product!) and I’m going to link that to my facebook page as well.
The new blog will be http://weirdemmaline.blogspot.com and it will have more of my day-to-day and not-book-related news, like the occasional cat picture and other weird life updates like I’ve posted to this blog for so long.
This blog will not die. I will still strive to post at least one new update per month. However, until about May this blog may be a bit slow and the updates may be a bit… short. But that’s mostly because I’ve got five months to finish three different books, so I may or may not say screw it to updating the blog in favor of keeping my sanity.
That’s why I’ll point you to my other social media, most if which I do update fairly regularly, which I should honestly have a tab for but I’m just that lazy.

Dear Writers of the World
Writers, could you please just be excited that people are writing fanfiction of your creations? Please?
I still have the fanarts that my dear friend Alfie drew from one of my series. I cherish it. (even if one was a joke stick figure)
Fan creations are something to celebrate, not to get bitchy about! So what if they reject your ending and substitute it with their own. So. Fucking. What. At least your story is getting exposure. Because the more fanworks that exist, the more people those fanworks have the potential to reach.
If you wanted to continue the story, then you should. Otherwise don’t act like a whiny little spoiled brat who decides that if they can’t control every little thing they’ll just take their toys and go home. That’s not how the world works, especially not when it comes to books.
